Confidence isn’t just a feeling it’s the number one predictor of success for 81% of South African women. But nearly 40% say self-doubt is their biggest barrier. These are the unspoken truths emerging from Momentum’s The Success Women Want 2025 report. Revealing a look into the invisible forces shaping and sometimes stalling women’s success.
Now in its seventh year, Momentum’s #SheOwnsHerSuccess campaign shines a light on the hidden behaviours, beliefs and codes women carry. This year’s focus? The Invisible Success Code. These are the unseen and quiet codes that allow women to perform and successfully navigate their homes, workplaces, boardrooms, and relationships.
“Success often looks effortless, as though it sommer happens, but behind the scenes, it’s anything but,” says Qhawekazi Mdikane, Executive Head of Momentum Brand Marketing. “Women carry silent costs, sacrifices, self-doubt, cultural codes and still, they succeed. This campaign is about revealing those truths and giving women the tools to win on their own terms.”
Through a series of free, high-impact online masterclasses, Momentum invites expert voices to decode success in every aspect of a woman’s life from careers and money to motherhood, mindset, and modern relationships. Attendees can expect powerful lessons on intentional financial planning, embracing feminine value in leadership, and unpacking generational codes that have shaped (and sometimes shackled) women’s journeys.
Starting with the End in Mind: Women Who Make Moves In Sports Summit Returns
The #SheOwnsHerSuccess campaign builds up to the third Women Who Make Moves in Sports Summit a bold, two-day event on 8–9 August 2025, focused on arming women athletes with the tools to thrive both on and off the field.
With shorter careers, lower pay, and less sponsorship, women in sport experience inequality in high definition. Momentum’s summit tackles these challenges head-on from personal branding to money management and a new addition this year: how to use AI to gain a competitive edge. The Summit will empower women to start their careers intentionally with the end of their careers in mind as they retire earlier than most, better plan for that transition off the field and manage their money as their careers pivot.
And this year, Momentum is set to make a game-changing announcement that will directly empower female athletes and shift the trajectory of their success.
Harvard’s Professor Anita Elberse, back for a third year, will close out the summit with a sought-after masterclass on branding and commercial success — unpacking lessons from some of the world’s most iconic sports brands.
“We’re not just having the conversation. We’re creating real shifts in how women win,” concludes Mdikane.
