The Nigerian Idol Season 10 live shows kicked off last Sunday night, 25 May 2025. The top 10 contestants – Boss Lady, Brammy, Ellacentric, Jkenova, Kristopher, Lawrence, Mikki, Purp, Raymu and Sally – performed live on a Billboard-takeover themed night.
The show opened with a rousing group performance of “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman, setting the tone for an evening of bold self-expression and standout vocals. From heartfelt ballads to Naija hits, each contestant lit up the stage with their unique artistry, performing Billboard hits that included songs by Nigerian artistes, like“Finesse” by Pheelz and “Love Nwantiti” by CKay.
As part of the anniversary celebration, host IK Osakioduwa announced a special twist to the show – a surprise appearance from a one-time Billboard chart-
The journey to crown Nigeria’s next music superstar continues every Sunday night, leading up to the grand finale in July 2025. Fans are encouraged to tune in and vote for their favourite contestants.
100 FOOT WAVE S3

100 Foot Wave chronicles the adventures of big wave surfing legend Garrett McNamara, his wife Nicole, and their friends and fellow surfers in Nazaré, Portugal, as they push the boundaries of their sport and the limits of their minds and bodies.
Season 2 was the most nominated documentary series at the Emmys, where it won Outstanding Cinematography for two years in a row. 100 Foot Wave S1 also took home Outstanding Sports Programme from the Producers Guild of America, with Season 2 also nominated.
100 Foot Wave is directed by award winner Chris Smith (HBO’sBranson) and executive produced by Emmy, Golden Globe, and Tony winner Joe Lewis (Fleabag).

HACKS S4

The reigning Best Comedy Series at the Emmys, Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards, Hacks is back for a fourth season, with Deborah and Ava working to get their late-night show off the ground and make history doing it.
As legendary comedian Deborah Vance, Jean Smart has won the Best Actress Emmy every season, while Hannah Einbinder won Best Supporting Actress at this year’s Critics Choice Awards.
Season 4 has a 97% critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes. As The Guardian says, “Season 4 of Hacks is very funny. But what makes it really special is just how raw it is, too, ready to hit you in the feels when you least expect it.”

After a car accident, Dr Amy Larsen wakes up with no memory of the past eight years.
Emmy nominee Molly Parker (Deadwood, House of Cards) stars as Amy, opposite the likes of Cannes Film Festival Male Revelation winner Omar Metwally (The Affair) and Jon-Michael Ecker (Queen of the South).
Already renewed for a second season, Doc was Fox’s best series debut in more than five years, as well as Fox’s highest-rated and most-watched new drama this season.
Doc is based on an Italian series, in turn inspired by a true story. Variety hails the “fascinating” medical drama as “a fresh depiction of an exceptional doctor deeply wounded by the trials of life but given a second chance to do things differently.”
FUNNY WOMAN S2

Season 2 of Funny Woman returns BAFTA nominee Gemma Arterton to her role as Barbara Parker/Sophie Straw, a Blackpool beauty queen trying to make it as a comedian in London at the height of the Swinging Sixties.
Season 2 comes in with Sophie on a high. She is the nation’s favourite TV comedy star, she’s got a group of good friends, and her romance with Dennis is full of promise. But trouble is just round the corner…
Based on the novel Funny Girl by Oscar nominee Nick Hornby (About a Boy, An Education), Funny Woman is created by Slow Horses writer Morwenna Banks, who also happens to be the voice of Mommy Pig on Peppa Pig.
Gemma Whelan (Yara Greyjoy in Game of Thrones, Marian in Gentleman Jack) and BAFTA nominee Tim Key (Mickey 17) join the cast this season.
BOYZONE: LIFE, DEATH & BOYBANDS

Drawing on Nigerian culture, music, and mythology, Iyanu follows a teenage orphan who discovers her divine powers and her destiny to save the ancient kingdom of Yorubaland.
Since its US launch in April 2025, Iyanu ranked as the #1 series on Cartoon Network and in the top 10 kids and family series on Max. Cartoon Network and Max have already greenlit Season 2 and two linked feature films.
Screenrant hails the epic fantasy animation series as “The Last Airbender and Black Panther hybrid you didn’t know you needed.”
Award winner Serah Johnson leads the all-African voice cast as Iyanu, alongside African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) winner and Vogue US cover star Adesua Etomi-Wellington, three-time AMAA nominee Stella Damasus, multi-award winner Blossom Chukwujekwu, and Shaffy Bello from The Black Book, described by Wired as “Nigeria’s first runaway Netflix hit.”

CHIMP CRAZY S1

From Tiger King director-producer Eric Goode, Chimp Crazyexamines the complicated world of raising chimpanzees.
The four-part series centres on former nurse-turned-exotic animal broker Tonia Haddix, who spends her days caring for animals in captivity. Her love for one chimpanzee in particular spins into a wild cat-and-mouse game that draws the attention of local authorities, animal rights group PETA, the press, and even actor Alan Cumming.
The documentary series drew over two million viewers in its first week of release and has an 86% critics’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Calling the award-winning HBO documentary series a “jaw-dropping look at monkey love…[which] dives into the wild, salacious and dangerous world of people who have chimpanzees as pets,” The New York Times says, “Chimp Crazyis more textured than Tiger King, partly because of its closer attention to the plight of animals” but “… there’s an endless ‘OMG’ feeling to everything here.”

Critics Choice nominee Adam Pally (Max in Happy Endings, Wade in Sonic the Hedgehog franchise) stars in Mr Throwback as a down-on-his-luck memorabilia dealer who seeks redemption by reuniting with his childhood teammate: NBA legend Stephen Curry, playing himself.
Saturday Night Live’s Ego Nwodim co-stars in the mockumentary series, which has an 86% critics’ rating onRotten Tomatoes.
Paste calls Mr Throwback “warm, resonant and funny”, saying Curry “proves that he can do more than, well, be one of the greatest athletes of this century. He’s funny, too.”
