The much-anticipated Organic & Natural Products Expo Africa is returning to the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) from 28-30 March 2025, promising to be an even more significant event than last year’s inaugural expo in the Western Cape.
As Africa’s premier showcase for organic and natural products, the expo continues to expand its influence, attracting exhibitors and buyers from across the globe. With over 923 trade registrations already confirmed, and six weeks still to go, the expo is set to surpass initial participation targets.

Rapid Response
“The response has been remarkable,” says Warren Hickinbotham, Head of the show’s Sponsorship and Partnerships. “The strong return rate of exhibitors, particularly companies like China Herb, Pegasus and Go Bamboo, all of whom experienced significant business growth from previous editions, demonstrates the expo’s value as a powerful business platform.”
A vast digital marketing campaign, including targeted Facebook promotions, referrals, and repeat visitor engagement, has been instrumental in driving visitor interest. “Our social media engagement and referral numbers have exceeded even our wildest expectations, driven by our extensive social media campaign and sound industry partnerships,” explains Hickinbotham.
A radio campaign on Smile FM and a large-scale outdoor advertising push in February and March will reach millions of consumers, inviting them to experience (taste, smell, touch, and buy) a wide array of unique and wonderful products.
Global Platform
The 2025 edition of the expo will see participation from a diverse range of countries, including Cameroon, the UAE, the UK, Kenya, Pakistan, Nigeria, Ghana, Lesotho, Botswana, Sierra Leone, Germany, Congo, Namibia, Russia, and the Czech Republic. This international presence is a testament to the event’s growing reputation as a key platform for businesses in the growing organic and natural products sector.
Notable product categories for 2025 include textiles (Turkish textiles, organic cotton, and mohair), green nutrition and acupuncture, which will be featured alongside established categories such as health, home, body and beauty, food and beverages, lifestyle, and baby and kids.
Empowering SMEs
The SME Showcase Pavilion, supported by Standard Bank, will once again provide a crucial platform for small and medium-sized enterprises to showcase their innovative products to trade buyers and consumers. Additionally, a new subsidised trading table concept – R4,250 excl. VAT (introduced to make participation more accessible for emerging brands), is already garnering significant interest.
“Our long-time sponsor, Standard Bank, has really stepped up this year in terms of the support they are offering SMEs and the door remains open to other corporates in different business categories to set up their own SME Showcase Pavilions,” adds Hickinbotham.
Strong Industry Support
The expo continues to receive backing from key industry bodies, including the Department of Trade and Industry and Competition; the Industry and Small Enterprise Development and Finance Agency; Standard Bank Business and Commercial Banking; the South African Organic Sector Organisation; Organic Wines South Africa; and the Western Cape Department of Economic Development, among others.
This year, a structured conference schedule will offer valuable insights for both businesses and consumers. The conference will cover a range of relevant topics, including business-to-business subjects like export strategies, accessing finance for organic and natural products businesses, and navigating the complexities of supply chains. Consumer-focused discussions will explore areas such as the latest trends in organic nutrition, the benefits of natural skincare, and sustainable living practices.
