Converse is proud to announce its return to South Africa’s premium skating competition, Street Lines Skate Tournament, taking place on 27 September 2025 at the iconic Thrashers Skatepark in Pretoria.
This marks the second year Converse partners with Street Lines, following a highly successful debut in 2024 that brought a new energy to the event and cemented the brand’s role in the tournament’s growth. This year, skaters and fans alike can look forward to a Converse inspired obstacle course, adding an interesting spin to the tournament, as well as get a chance to trial the Cons on the day, and have the opportunity to make online purchases on the day.
For Converse, the partnership reflects a deep and ongoing commitment to skateboarding. The brand has a long history with skateboarding, rooted in decades of influence on global skate culture and footwear design. The brand’s Pro Skate line and skate focused innovations have been part of skate culture worldwide. Locally, Converse was also involved with UltX skating competition for several years, reinforcing its sustained investment in competitive skate events and athlete development.

Presented by LW Mag and Dragon Energy Drink in association with Converse Cons, Garmin, Monster Products and Insta360, the Street Lines Skate Tournament has quickly become the premier stage for skateboarding in South Africa, attracting professional and amateur skaters from across the countryas they vie for the 2025 titles.
