On Tuesday, 6 May, in Parkhurst, Shandesh and the Hit Boss Lekompo team gathered for a celebratory moment as they received a certified Gold Plaque for “Ga Mmapula” and a Platinum Plaque for “Sdudla or Slender.” The Platinum award comes just two months after the release of “Sdudla or Slender”, highlighting the remarkable momentum behind Shandesh’s rise and the explosive growth of the Lekompo sound.
The celebration brought together the vibrant Lekompo community, including Hit Boss, RIRI AJ, Abi Wa Mampela, and a special appearance by Naledi Aphiwe, who came to show love and support for her friends. Influencers and content creators such as Kedi Sale Tse, Thapelo G, Mimi Lyon, Yano Lyrics, and Yano Updates also joined the festivities, capturing the excitement for fans online.
