This year Warner Music Africa is launching their student ambassador program, called Culture Shifters, in collaboration with various South African universities and colleges. Building on their rebrand to reflect a more on-the-pulse multimedia company, Warner Music Africa understands that South African youth are key drivers behind music and pop culture and have established the program to connect with them.

Culture Shifters responds to the youth’s call to open up the music industry and bridge the experience gap young artists and creatives face. Through the program, second- and third-year tertiary arts students will have the opportunity to join WMA workshops with various department heads; sit in on creative meetings; as well as attend key industry launches and events. This will allow students to gain first-hand work experience and insight into the inner workings of a leading record label. Successful applicants will also have the opportunity to draw from their respective academic disciplines and collaborate on multi-disciplinary content strategies to add to their portfolios.

Applications are currently open at www.wmacultureshifters.com and close 2 April 2023.
