Toufeeq echoes this, emphasizing the grit involved: “Getting to this stage wasn’t easy, but that’s what makes it so rewarding. Every battle, every setback – it all leads to the world finals”. He continues, “Representing South Africa on the global stage fuels me to push my limits and show what we’re capable of.”

The blockbuster invitational wildcard lineup of 12 b-boys and 12 b-girls includes Olympic silver medalist, B-Girl Nicka from Lithuania, and bronze medalist B-Boy Victor from the USA. Also hoping to follow in the footsteps of last year’s champions, Ami (Japan) and Hong 10 (South Korea) who were crowned in Paris 2023, is B-Boy Menno from the Netherlands, who is returning to fight for his fourth title and B-Girl Logan ‘Logistx’ from the USA is also returning in an attempt to win the title for a second time.

In addition to the 24 wildcards, four b-boys and four b-girls will join the World Final lineup from the Red Bull BC One national and regional cypher winners, determined by the Red Bull BC One Last Chance Cypher taking place on 5th December where more than 70 breakers will go head-to-head for the final eight spots.

This year, Red Bull BC One World Final will be returning to Brazil for its 21st edition. Hosted at Rio de Janeiro’s Farmasi Arena, this marks the third time Brazil will host the Red Bull BC One World Final, following unforgettable showdowns in São Paulo (2006) and Rio (2012).

Brazil has had a profound impact on the global breaking scene. Home to the dance-like art of Capoeira and the samba-inspired Passinho, it’s the perfect location to celebrate more than 20 years since the first ever Red Bull BC One World Final took place.
