In a world that often feels divided, Sunbake Bread believes that even the smallest acts of kindness can bridge the biggest divisions. On World Kindness Day, November 13, 2024, Sunbake invites all South Africans to be part of something that goes beyond just sharing bread; it’s about sharing hope and compassion with those who need it most.
Sunbake embodies freshness in both their products and outlook, believing in the power of a fresh start to each day. With 20 million people struggling to afford essentials, Sunbake aims to inspire a movement where every loaf represents generosity and our shared humanity.
Personalities Lasizwe, Keegan Gordon, Lerato Kganyago, and Candice Modiselle—will lead this journey with Sunbake, visiting communities across Gauteng. At each stop, they will distribute freshly baked bread and, more importantly, share a moment of connection and solidarity with those who rarely experience it. Their hope is to not only ease hunger but to spark a ripple effect of kindness that touches countless lives, long after this one day.

May adds, “kindness is the simplest gift we can offer, yet it has the power to nourish communities and lift spirits in ways that last far beyond a single day. At Sunbake, we believe that every loaf shared is a step toward a brighter, more connected South Africa—where hope and compassion are always on the table.”
This World Kindness Day, Sunbake aims to distribute at least 1,000 loaves— 1,000 acts of kindness, each one a beacon of hope. We invite South Africans to join us, to let kindness lead, and to keep it alive every day. Whether it’s sharing a loaf or simply offering support, every gesture builds a bridge toward a better tomorrow.
