Showmax and Laugh Africa Comedy Festival are thrilled to announce The Roast Of Minnie Dlamini, scheduled for Friday, 5th of April at the Sandton Convention Centre.

The Roast will feature a star-studded lineup, and will be recorded live on the 5th April 2024, and air exclusively on Showmax, on the 26th April 2024.

Dlamini shares her enthusiasm, “I ended off the year with my show ‘Curated’ on Mzansi Magic, embracing humour about myself and societal happenings. The roast is about having fun and not taking myself too seriously. I may also get an opportunity to dispel many of the rumours told about me. The roast is fundamentally a celebration of my career and there’s nothing I love more than a good laugh.”

The Laugh Africa Comedy Festival takes place from the 5th – 7th April 2024, at the Sandton Convention Centre and will feature over 50 comedians across three genres – English, Vernacular, and Afrikaans and headlined by the internationally acclaimed comedian Eddie Griffin. The festival will feature local favorites such as Eugene Khosa, Conrad Koch & Chester Missing, Jam Jam The Comedian and Mel Jones.

Laugh Africa is committed to delivering a roast that not only entertains but also honors the essence of what it means to be roasted – a celebration wrapped in humor and affection.
