Acclaimed beat maker, songwriter, rapper, and record producer Flash Cortez released his latest single, Nthabiseng, featuring Romeo ThaGreatwhite, under Lebzatainment Records on Friday the 22nd of August 2025. The emotionally charged track is a deeply moving narrative rooted in a true story, confronting the realities of vulnerability, exploitation, and human trafficking.

Born Asivhangana Kislev Ramanyimi on July 27, 2003, in Elim, Limpopo, Flash Cortez has become one of the most influential figures in modern African hip hop. Rising to prominence in Lesotho in 2023 with his distinctive blend of Sesotho sounds and contemporary hip hop, he quickly established himself as a cultural force. His production work on Sannere’s debut EP Pha-Balimo (2024) – featuring hits like Hale Felile O Ntjoetse and Ke Romiloe Nna with support from Malome Vector – highlighted his unique artistry and cemented his reputation as one of the most exciting talents in the region.

Over the years, Flash Cortez has released powerful tracks such as Kea Nyala, Phambili Nge War, and Hoba Monna, earning Lesotho Music Awards and recognition as one of the greatest producers of his generation. Signed under Lebzatainment Records, a pioneering label dedicated to amplifying Southern African voices and stories, Flash Cortez continues to push cultural boundaries while addressing complex themes through music.

His new single Nthabiseng tells the heartbreaking story of a young girl whose struggles with complex relationships tragically led to her becoming a victim of human trafficking. More than just a song, Nthabiseng is a tribute to her memory and a call to action against exploitation.

“This song is more than music – it’s a story that needed to be told. I want people to feel her journey, reflect on the choices society forces on the vulnerable, and confront the issue of human trafficking,” says Flash Cortez.
